How we collect, use and protect your data, and how to exercise your rights under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.

This policy describes how VELAQUIMICOS S.A.S. collects, uses, stores and protects personal data, in compliance with Colombian Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, following the guidelines of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC). Where visitors are located in other jurisdictions, we apply the same principles of purpose limitation, data minimisation and security.

1. Data we collect

Through the contact form on this website we collect only the data you voluntarily provide: name, company, work email, phone number and the content of your message. For security reasons the server also records the IP address from which the form is submitted.

2. Purposes

The data is processed to:

  • Handle and answer your commercial or information request.
  • Arrange sample shipments and quotations.
  • Maintain communication in any resulting business relationship.
  • Prevent fraud and abuse of the form (anti-spam controls).
  • Comply with legal, accounting and contractual obligations.

3. Your rights

Under Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012 you have the right to:

  • Know, update and rectify your personal data.
  • Request proof of the authorisation granted.
  • Be informed about how your data has been used.
  • File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.
  • Withdraw authorisation and/or request deletion of your data where applicable.
  • Access your personal data free of charge.

4. How to exercise your rights

Send a request to info@velaquimicos.com or call +57 (601) 727 1812, stating your name, the right you wish to exercise and the underlying facts. Enquiries are answered within ten (10) business days and claims within fifteen (15) business days, as set out in Articles 14 and 15 of Law 1581 of 2012.

5. Storage and security

Data submitted through the form is forwarded by email to the corporate mailbox of VELAQUIMICOS S.A.S. and is not stored in public-facing databases on this website. We apply reasonable technical measures (HTTPS encryption, input validation, anti-spam controls and rate limiting) to protect the information in transit.

6. Transfers and processors

VELAQUIMICOS S.A.S. does not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. The site runs on the infrastructure of the hosting provider engaged by the company, which acts as a processor strictly for the technical operation of the service.

7. Term

Data is kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described and applicable legal obligations. This policy takes effect on its publication date.
